Custom Painted Furniture

When we were a newly married couple, I had visions of the beautiful painted pieces from Restoration Hardware and Pottery Barn positioned so nicely in my home. While I had the vision, we didn’t have the budget! Not being one to take no for an answer, I went out and found vintage pieces and learned to sand, strip, paint, stain and everything in between. Whether or not I can afford those new pieces now doesn’t matter; I love giving vintage pieces new life, and especially a new home. So after 27+ years, four houses and countless pieces lugged in mini vans and pick-ups, I now get to share my veteran experience of painting furniture with you.

Complimentary 20-minute consultation

If you have a piece in mind that you’d like painted, we’ll start with a complimentary 20-minute consultation, over the phone or FaceTime, this to understand your desires for the piece. We’ll go over everything, from the color of your walls and floor, how the piece will be used, right down to the paint color and finish.

Process

Once we complete the consultation, I’ll provide an estimate of the cost. The pricing is based on a reliable estimate prior to having the piece in place and discovery of any unforeseen needs the piece may have to complete successfully. Pricing is for a single color and includes a sealer, typically 1 to 2 coats of wax or a poly for protection.  The customer arranges delivery and pick up (third party options can be provided). 50% is due upon delivery of the piece. Projects usually take 2-3 weeks to complete. Please send photos and questions to mbmulone@gmail.com
